How to Spend your New Year’s Eve in Houston

How to Spend your New Year’s Eve in Houston

The holiday season is in full swing, and it’s time to plan your day leading up to New Year’s Eve. Houston is a great place to ring in the New Year with its many restaurant options, activities to do with friends and family, and a great nightlife.

Start your day off right with brunch with your loved ones. Venture to La Table in the Galleria area for incredible fresh pastries and a brunch menu large enough for everyone to try one of everything. Eloise Nichols is nearby and also a great option, especially if you want an amazing pitcher of blackberry mimosas to share. For a more hearty breakfast, head to Ritual on White Oak in the heights area. Known for their unique meat-heavy menu, you definitely won’t leave hungry.

To work off brunch, head over to Buffalo Bayou Park and take a nice walk exploring the many paths that extend throughout the park. You can even go underneath and see the Cistern, which is a former drinking reservoir built in 1926. It makes for a fun outing with friends and family and is a great photo op! Another great park to appreciate the scenery is Hermann Park. Walk up the hill at Centennial Park for a beautiful view of Houston’s Medical Center and wander over to the zoo to see the red pandas.

If you’re in need of a coffee or a pick me up before dinner, Tout Suite is located on the east side of downtown and is the perfect place to grab a pastry, drink, or some bites to eat. 13 Celsius is another great little wine bar in Midtown to grab a glass of wine with friends before dinner or your evening activities. They also have smores on the dessert menu, which you could partake in since New Year’s Eve is always a built-in cheat day.

A Wedding to Remember at The Ballroom at Bayou Place

To top it all off— spend your evening at the best New Year’s Eve party in downtown Houston, The Ballroom at Bayou Place’s New Year’s Eve celebration! Proceeds will benefit The Houston Ballet Nutcracker Market and Houston Ballet Foundation, its Academy and Scholarships.

Our Dinner and Dancing Package features a station style, sit down dinner, an open bar, complimentary valet parking and more! If you’re a late-comer, get our Late Arrival Package (starting at 11PM) to enjoy a champagne toast at midnight, breakfast tacos on the balcony, and party favors to ring in the New Year!

Dance all night long to The David Caceres Band and take in the stunning downtown Houston views from one of our multiple balconies. Dress code will be black tie optional, suit and tie cocktail attire. Your New Year’s Eve night will be one to remember.

Have an incredible holiday and we’ll see you in 2018!
